How quickly can I get an appointment?

Yes, we can offer you a same-day appointment.

Who will prescribe the medication if I need it?

During the appointment, if you need a prescription, the nurse can prescribe certain medications for certain illnesses. If she cannot prescribe, she will send or give you a memo to give to your family doctor or the doctor of your choice. If you don't have a doctor, or if your doctor can't give you an appointment, we'll contact your doctor to inform him or her of the situation, or we'll find you a doctor via telemedicine at an additional cost.

Do you have doctors or super-nurses at your clinic?

The answer is yes. We can deal with the vast majority of healthcare issues.

Do you have gynaecologists?

No.

Can you prescribe for an ear infection?

The answer is yes, we can prescribe for a wide variety of infections and more.

Do you give cortisone injections?

The answer is yes, with the exception of injections, which must be performed under ultrasound.

Do the prices include taxes?

No.

Injection of medication

Is this the case for any medication?

Yes, except for cortisone injections, allergy desensitization and certain intravenous medications.

Is it possible to come more than once?

Yes, there is no limit and fees are charged per visit.

Ear cleaning

Is it possible to clean without using oil?

This is not recommended to avoid the risk of complications. However, it is possible to try it and stop if we find that it could be dangerous.

Cleaning the Pessary

What is a pessary?

A pessary is prescribed by a doctor to treat prolapse of the bladder, uterus, vagina or rectum. It's a ring-, cube- or disk-shaped silicone object inserted into the vagina to support the organs. It is held in place by the pelvic muscles.

Treatment of warts, acrochordons and keratosis

Why does nitrogen treatment take more than one appointment?

Depending on the shape of the wart and the treatment, it may take several consultations to completely burn off the affected area, or to kill off the roots of a wart.

Can you do more than one at a time?

Yes, depending on each person's tolerance threshold.

Why do I need a request to treat acrochordon and/or keratosis?

A doctor's assessment with a prescription ensures that there is no cancer or significant skin problem.

Do you have dermatologists?

The answer is no, but the SNP can prescribe and treat a wide range of skin problems.

Child development 0-5 years

What exactly is the service offered?

Make sure you're doing what's right for your child's development, that your child is developing well, and to have support for situations that may be difficult in your day-to-day role as parent(s).

Do the nurses know how to work with children?

Yes, some of our nurses have worked at Ste-Justine Children's Hospital, as well as having received training and coaching specific to children. They are nurses who have lived the experience of being mothers, and some have experienced major health problems with their own children.

How much do baby and children vaccines cost?

55 for the first vaccine 20 for other vaccines at the same appointment for the same child

How quickly can I get an appointment?

As a general rule, appointments can be made on the same day or within a week.

Is it possible to have an appointment in the afternoon, evening or on weekends?

Yes, with the private laboratory, but you must request this in advance. Saturday appointments are also possible with the public laboratory.

Will my doctor receive the results?

Yes, all your test results are forwarded to your prescribing physician.

When will my doctor receive my results?

Public laboratory: 3 days to 4 weeks. Private laboratory: same day to less than 1 week. Specific tests may take a little longer.

How long do I have to wait for my test results?

48h with the private laboratory and generally more than two (2) weeks with the public laboratory.

Why do I have to fast?

Depending on what is prescribed, the consumption of food and/or beverages may affect results.

Do you have butterfly needles?

Yes, we have several needle gauges for blood sampling. It is not advisable to use butterfly needles because they can falsify tests. If you absolutely must have a butterfly needle, just ask your nurse and she'll be happy to use it for you.

Is the nurse any good? Because I don't have good veins.

Yes, all our nurses are highly experienced and skilled with IVs. They have all received appropriate, personalized training to provide you with gentle, pain-free, quality treatment.

Why do I have to pay?

We are a private clinic and operate outside the public network. All operating costs to provide you with fast, quality service are covered by the fees you pay.

Is it possible to drop by without an appointment or to be seen in between?

Yes, we can if we use the private laboratory, because our maximum number of samples is reached every day for the public laboratory.

Yes, if your doctor has prescribed a test lasting less than 48 hours, we can perform a 48-hour test or send a fax to obtain a change in the prescription.

30 to 45 minutes.

Will my doctor have the results?

We give you the results to give to your doctor, or fax them to him or her.
